Enjoy the delightful voice of soprano Jane Sheldon (UK/Australia), who combines with early music ensemble Fifth Continent as you enjoy a two course menu with matched wine from the Montalto restaurant. Program highlights include selections from Purcell’s The Faerie Queen and arias from Handel’s Alcina.

5th January - Celebrate with us as the sun sets on the second Peninsula Music Festival. Relax on the lawn at Montalto to the sounds of Melbourne’s “sassy songstress of swing”, Julie O’Hara. fresh from the Wangaratta Jazz Festival and the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

February
1st February - A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.
Lose yourself in Shakespeare’s brilliant and enchanting romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. William Shakespeare takes us on a magical journey into the Athenian woodland where four lovers have escaped the laws of the land to seek freedom and happiness. In these same woods we meet two other very different groups of characters. The first is a band of fairies, including Oberon, the fairy king, his mischievous servant Puck and Titania, the queen of the fairies. The second is a band of bumbling Athenian craftsmen trying their hand at showbiz!
What transpires in this forest is entertainment in its best form. Magical spells, hilarious trickery, and an “Ass” all make up a night filled with love, laughter and dazzling dreams.
Performed al fresco with the stunning natural beauty of Montalto as the backdrop.
$75 includes the performance and a light meal.
